What are Probiotics?
Our gut is lined with about 100 billion bacteria consisting of up to 1000 identified species.
Roles of flora bacteria:
- Support the immune system,
- producing serotonin.
- making energy from the food we eat.
- disposing of foreign substances and toxins.
- Keep the gut healthy.
Sometimes, because of bad diet, infections, travelling, hygiene issues and sanitation habits, or illnesses like diarrhoea our gut flora loses its balance, and the bad bacteria starts to grow.
It is important to preserve and rebuild this balance, this is the time that probiotics must intervene and become the hero to fight the harmful germs, and restore the balance of the gut flora. These microorganisms can inhibit pathogen growth in intestine by producing organic acids and antimicrobial factors
Why do we need probiotics?
- Stronger immune system
- Improved digestion
- Better metabolism
- Increased energy from production of vitamin B12
- Better breath because probiotics destroy candida
- Reduced cold and flu
- Even controlling blood sugar level both in healthy or diabetic people
